Tithes and Offerings
This is a very important subject, one that has been showing up
in many Divine Revelations.
Here is why I believe Tithing absolutely necessary and a commandment today.
First of all its clearly in the
New Testament by Jesus:
Matthew 23:23
(NIV) "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you
hypocrites!
You
give a tenth of your
spices--mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more
important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You
should have practiced the latter,
without neglecting the former.
1. Here are 4 testimonies of people who met Jesus face to
face. Hear what Jesus told them about tithing.
(Search for the word "Tithe" in these
testimonies)

Choo Thomas was told by the Lord, that those who
don't pay tithes are disobedient Christians, and they will not be ready when He
comes.

These 7 Columbian youths were shown what happens to
people who steal from the Lord.

This lady was told very clearly by the Lord, that tithing was a
commandment.

This man was given the message to the Church straight from
the Lord, that they must be faithful in their tithes and offerings.
There is a clear pattern of revelation
showing that tithing is not an old testament law regulation that passed away
with grace.
2. There are MANY people in Hell right now that never heard the Gospel, they
never heard the gospel because the church did not send and support missionaries,
evangelists, Bibles and teachers to go to them. When people do not pay their
tithe, the Gospel is hindered from going out, and the Lord will holds us
accountable for this.
Paul says in
Romans 10:15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Tithing is the
main engine for the Gospel getting out.
3. Tithing is mentioned and reinforced in Malachi, the last book of the Old
Testament. Why would the Lord reinforce tithing so strongly with one prophet,
yet the very next book, (prophet) He abolishes it. That doesn't make sense. But
in Malachi it says that if you don't pay your tithe, you are stealing from the
Lord, and a curse will be on you.
4. Jesus said it is more blessed to give than receive, so you CAN'T be set free
from the burden of Tithing. Just like you CAN'T be set free from the
burden of Loving someone. (it's not a burden, but a blessing) You CAN be set
free from the burden of stealing, rebellion and selfishness.
If there is someone who is teaching people that Tithing is good but not
necessary, they are making a big mistake and leading others astray.
5. Most people will only wish they gave more to the Lord when they get to
heaven. And of course you always want to give your tithes with the right
motive, Love.
I have the opinion that a person can choose the
ministry
for their tithe, not necessarily the local Church, therefore I think it's better to
choose the Charity that will have the most impact for the Kingdom of God
(missionaries, bibles, feeding programs, etc), not a ministry that will waste resources. But
this
is my personal opinion and I cannot back it up by specific revelations or scriptures.
