Christendom and Western civilization are entering their final warfare before Armageddon. In these deliberate studies of principalities and powers, we will be exposing the occult, revealing knowledge of the doctrines, words, rites, eulogies, phrases, and definitions that demon worshippers use. The only intelligent way to interpret our times is to present a biblical interpretation. Jesus prophesied that His church shall prevail. In Matthew 16:18, He said, "Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Today, the church must rise up to the greatest action of its entire history.
I greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus and welcome you to this very unusual class. In these studies, we are getting to some difficult situations that are not pleasant to talk about, but the world needs to know about them. We are doing the best we can to bring them to public view so people can see them. There are many Americans today who are beginning to believe in reincarnation, so we are going to lecture to you relative to the mystery of reincarnation.
Let us pray. Father, we ask You to direct our thinking, and may we speak the word of truth with great strength and power. Bless those who hear, and we thank You for it. Amen.
In the book of Hebrews, chapter 9, verse 27, it says, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." I would put a circle around the word "once." If God's Word is a lie, the whole Bible is a lie. But the Bible says it is appointed unto men once to die. Men do not die twice. They do not die five times. They do not die ten times. It is appointed unto men once to die, and after that, the judgment. The judgment comes after death.
There is no transmigration of souls. There is no reincarnation of human beings on the face of this earth. This study is important because it decides human destiny. A believer in reincarnation will fit his life to the doctrine. He will live according to what he believes. Everyone lives according to what they believe.
Reincarnation is the philosophy of successive rebirths on the face of this planet. It teaches the wheel of eternity—recurring birth, death, and birth again and again. Reincarnation teaches that human lives are beginningless and endless. It claims that when a child is born, it is not a new personality coming into the universe, but an old personality coming back. Reincarnation teaches that human souls successively return to new forms and new bodies on planet Earth. They claim it can be an animal body, an insect body, a bird body, or a human body, aiming to reach a state called karma. Karma is the supposed force which makes each rebirth depend upon a person's previous deeds.
This is a deception. What really happens is that a certain evil spirit will possess a Babylonian in one generation. In another generation, that same spirit will possess a Sodomite. When these spirits speak through a possessed person today, they tell of their recurring possessions of human bodies as if they are human souls coming back. In reality, they are only demons coming back to dwell in certain people who permit them to enter. They are telling a story that is a lie.
The deceived person or those listening might think the person themselves lived a past life, not knowing it is an evil spirit talking through them. That is the secret of reincarnation: it begins with a deception.
For example, a spirit might say, "I lived as a French doctor in the 17th century named Jacques. I committed a murder, I was never found out, and I feel condemned. Now, through you, I am making penance for what I did." The possessed person of this generation would then say, "Oh, that is who I was in a past life." No, you did not live before. That is an evil spirit talking through you. You have known no other life before this one. But the deceiving spirit that possessed another entity at that time is now residing in the person, making them believe they were that entity in a previous life.
I have met spiritists in Brazil who had spirits in them claiming to be Napoleon. The demon-possessed person would describe the actions, desires, and voice intonations of Napoleon and assume he was the reincarnation of Napoleon himself. He was not at all; he was a deceived person. When he came to the Lord Jesus Christ and was saved, he knew he had been deceived. In several countries of the world, we have met demon-possessed people who believed they were the re-embodiment of those who lived in other generations. It is clear that the doctrine of reincarnation began with the devil.
The transmigration of human souls began in pagan lands, never in lands where they knew God. They first gave themselves to demon power and refused to follow God. The Bible says that pagan nations worship devils, not gods.
Romans 1:18 says, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." They once knew the truth, but they did not live by it. Verse 19 continues, "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them." Every people on the face of this earth, in their deepest beings, knows what is right and wrong. They lie to themselves and accept a lie.
Verse 20 says, "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." God says those who believe in demon doctrines are without excuse. Verse 23 adds, "And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things." Verse 25 concludes, "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator."
That is what the transmigration of souls means. It is changing the truth of God into a lie. Countries like India and Tibet were the leaders in teaching the mystery of reincarnation. Hinduism teaches various levels of consciousness as the road to Nirvana, seeking a mystical union with the universe, or a "God consciousness" where a person considers himself to actually be God. Such states of consciousness are experienced through hypnosis, mediumistic trances, certain drugs, and witchcraft.
Transmigration is another word for reincarnation. It means the movement of life from one time period to another, or from one species to another. In India, the word avatar means the incarnation of a god into a living human person. In Hinduism, they believe the god Vishnu has been reincarnated numerous times: as a fish, a tortoise, a man-lion, a boar, a dwarf, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and even Christ. They want you to believe Jesus Christ was the reincarnation of a fish or a tortoise! When you understand what they are talking about, you see how foolish it is. This is a form of demon possession, a lying spirit.
Reincarnation teaches that a disembodied soul in eternity receives an assignment to enter a new physical body. According to their teachings, the spirit hovers near the parents to decide if it wants to proceed. When a child is born, it enters the newborn body. If a baby is stillborn, they claim the body was not perfected, so the soul must wait for another vehicle. They even teach that there are as many candidate souls for deformed children as healthy ones because a deformed body provides more opportunity for the soul to "pay off past debts."
Who would believe such lies? But when we do not believe the truth, the devil gets his lies going.
How does one get drawn into the doctrine of reincarnation? Oriental meditation is one way, such as Transcendental Meditation (TM) or Zen. Seeking to project a person from rational thought into a "higher state of consciousness" is an open door to believing in reincarnation. It involves a surrender to cosmic forces you do not understand.
Yoga, which means "union with Brahman," is another path. Its ultimate goal is union with the absolute, which is not God the Father. Yoga teaches breath control, denouncing all human and divine desires, and inducing a trance state removed from reality. God does not want you removed from reality. As long as you are on the face of this earth, you should be in reality and know what you are doing, because you will be responsible before God.
A true yogi cuts himself off from all sense perceptions, including his own family, friends, and human relationships, living beyond space and time. That will not take you to heaven.
Reincarnation is a doctrine of works and self-effort. It has nothing to do with God, His mercy, or the blood of Jesus Christ saving us. Reincarnation denies the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It denies the atonement for sin. The Bible says man is a sinner, lost and away from God, and can only be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.
Jesus taught the truth about life after death in Luke 16. He spoke of a certain rich man who died and lifted up his eyes in hell. He was not looking for another body to reincarnate into. He was in hell, with his memory intact, aware of his family, and feeling the torment of the flame. He knew he was there forever. If you believe the Bible, you cannot believe in reincarnation.
When we look at reincarnation, three facts are certain:
If you turn away from God, you do not know what you will end up believing. The devil can present his lies so beautifully that they seem right to a deceived mind. I urge you in Jesus' name not to follow any of these doctrines that come from hell.
As believers, God wants us to go out and set people free from these evil doctrines. You can ask those who are bound, "Do you want to be free? You have believed a lie." You can cast it out of them. Lay your hands upon them, command the lying spirit to come out in Jesus' name, and they will be free.
